"Haafu"
This explores the separation and connection a Japanese haafu feels in Japanese society. Upon interviewing and photographing several haafu, I found two underlying similarities. One, they have gotten used to stares from their physical differences. Two, they celebrate their mixed heritage. I aimed to depict their take on being a haafu to show our story of being international kids. (Used for NYU Tisch portfolio)
